How to be happy
Before you go to sleep, lie down on your bed and let your brain recapitulate the day experience. Focus on the good things...just lie in silence and reverie. Then decide what you are GRATEFUL for that day. Get up, write it down in your diary/phone/computer and go to sleep. Review on weekly basis.
MEDITATE in the morning - 5 minutes is enough.
DO exercise - yes the manual work of exercise brings you satisfaction and raises energy levels even in very small doses and without a specific goal as losing weight.
STOP - BREATHE - SENSE everything around you - SMILE - anytime, anywhere and your life becomes more happy.
ALWAYS LEARN new things and skills, even when you think you know everything there is to know.
LISTEN more - to your body, to the people, to Nature, to yourself
SLEEP well.

My life values
happiness, love, knowledge, friendship, family,
What does happiness means to me?
Happiness is the ephemeral feeling of achievement, well being and transcendence you can experience when you feel free of worries.
What does well-being means to me?
Well-being for me means, that I don't have any particular worries connected to my family, work, future or self-doubt in those areas of life.
Well, being is the feeling of well, which also means you are healthy and free of disease. Whether it's a mental or physical malady, if you feel well you don't have any problems with your health, but rather feel energetic, vital and full of vigor.
Being satisfied uses a different set of measures for me. Satisfaction can be very short-term feeling influenced by outside factors. Generally, it taps on the basal needs of an individual and that's where FFFF governs actions and feelings. Hence is easy to be satisfied with a sip of water on a hot day in the desert and not satisfied with premium 0.5L lager on a party in the middle of Berlin nightlife. If I dig deeper in what brings me true satisfaction, the shocking discovery comes that a truly deep and profound feeling of satisfaction (you can call it happiness:-) comes from long-term persistent work.
What influenced me in relation to happiness?
Meeting some of my best friends and keeping in touch with their life philosophy.
Traveling to far away countries and discovering new cultures.
Searching for my body limits.
Seeing Death - my grandfather passed away suddenly.
How I sacrifice my happiness to something else?
This is a tricky questions as one has to delineate the line between short and long term happiness. In times I sacrifice long term happiness for the short one, or even for the happiness of someone else, and in times I sacrifice short term happiness for the long one. For example in relationships. Last Monday I needed to handle my bank account and setup and investment fund which would be very beneficial for my long term happiness, but my GF was with me that day and it was her only day off in the week, as we waited for the clerks to handle my case, she said something strikingly obvious and true, that made me reconsider…Sacrificing my own long term happiness that day made her day off very cool and pleasurable and in turn made me happy as well.
Mostly this happens for other people, safety of lives, environmental safety, animal rights, reducing pollution and building better world through relationships. Being true to the values you set for you may seem as an inconvenience, especially in todays consumer driven world and global-mindset, however grit and perseverance in foundation stones of your value system will make you happy not eventually but on daily base.
